Carrie and husband Michael Emerson both had roles in the movies
Straight Jacket, Grace & Glorie, and The Journey, as
well as an episode of the short-lived television crime drama The
Inside. Michael also had a small role in the film 29th and Gay,
which Carrie Preston produced, directed, and edited. In 2005, they both
appeared in a production of Hamlet at the
McCarter
Theatre
Center
in Princeton,
New Jersey. The husband and wife actors are currently
appearing in LOST. Mr. Emerson is a regular member of the cast,
and he plays Ben Linus, the leader of the mysterious and dangerous group
known only as The Others. Ms. Preston is a guest star in the 20th
episode of Season 3, The Man Behind the Curtain. She plays Emily, the
mother of Ben Linus (a flashback scene of Ben's youth).
